It was a beautiful day again! Man I love Spring/Summer/Fall when it's not too hot.
Today at 10:30 a.m. I headed to Glenndale, and at noon took a first flight with Nathan's niece in the Citabria. She said she loved it and hopes to slowly take lessons. It was my first "instructing" in the back of the Citabria of a non-pilot in the last 10 years. Felt pretty comfortable. Later went up with Kaylee and she and I goofed around some, and then Steve and I went up and he did some take offs and landings from the front as well.
While I was there, Chuck ran home because the mail had come in, and my new iPod is here! It's charging up as I type this. The guy that sent it didn't clear it out first, so I have a bunch of his songs too! Some were password protected, but most weren't, and I got some good tunes to add to mine. Now if I could only figure out how to get what is on my iPod transferred to iTunes when the iPod is NOT plugged in, that would be great. Anybody know? I've messed with it repeatedly, but because I'm too impatient to let the battery full charge first, I keep having to stop and plug it back in for awhile. ;) Woo-hoo, I'm back in Tune Business! Love it.
Kaylee was such a big girl today, she often stays at the airport on the ground now while both Steve and I go fly, particularly if one of us is just staying in the pattern. She's gotten on the radio a few times and knows how to call us. When she and I went up today (she really likes the Citabria even though it's not a "jet"), she even made the radio call when we did a takeoff. Cute voice saying "Zero Five Tango Departing Runway 18, Glenndale." :)
Steve's tooth in the back of his mouth broke apart, after months of hurting and two years of being cracked. Now he says it doesn't hurt any more. Which is good!
Umm, guess that's about it for now!
