Today I got to sleep IN! Yeah for RAIN! :) (Rain means nobody was flying!) When I got up at a leisurely hour, I had chocolate and caffeine for breakfast, than sat and read the new James Patterson novel ("Beach Road"). Ahhhhh, what a morning. Kaylee talked about how it was almost Mother's Day, so she ran around the house telling me not to look, and she made up a card for me. It's a Valentine's Day card that she decorated herself today, and then she wrote me a couple of notes in it too. The thing is, she wrote these notes ALL on her own, with no help from anybody on what to say or how to spell.
On the inside she wrote: "I Love You", then "Please Be My Special Mommy", and "Mother's Day". On the back she wrote "To My Mommy, Love Kaylee".
Now how it's REALLY spelled is often just the first letter of the words, or the consonents. For example, "I Love You" was "I LV You", and "Please Be My Special Mommy" was "Ples B M Spsl Mommy". "Mother's Day" was "Mthrsdy". "To My Mom, Love Kaylee" was spelled "To M Mom Lve Kaylee". Now it may just be me, but I think it's totally sweet!! I was very impressed that she came up with what she did on her own and I'm keeping this! Tomorrow I'll open the gift she made for me. And take a picture, of course! :)
It's officially Mother's Day now, though I'm really still up from Saturday. So let me say, Happy Mother's Day to the wonderful moms in my life, including my own of course!
