Well, today is what I'd call a banner day. I got to go out to the airport for lunch, and as I was getting ready to eat, I got a call to go on a flight to Muncie, a nearby airport. It's a beautiful day with blue skies again, and I drive over to the main airport and hop into an Aerostar with Nate, and we fly over to Muncie. Pretty day for a flight...we get there, leave the Aerostar for its annual inspection, and come home in the P-51 Mustang that was over there for some maintenance. I go to hop up into it and smash my knee on a gun turret, so my typical "Grace" prevails there, but I made it in with minimal leg

damage. We really enjoyed the flight home. So pretty, such a nice view of the countryside we got! :) Landed, put it away, and I picked up Kaylee from Glenndale. Less than 2 hours later I packed her back up in the car and drove Back out to Glenndale so I could get tail-dragger current. The winds had died down some which helped me out a bit, and Mike and I took the Decathlon up and I flew a tail-dragger for the first time in YEARS. I was fairly rusty-feeling but all in all not bad. So in one day I got to fly in three different airplanes, very different from what I am used to. It was so much fun! After I landed at Glenndale, there were friends there waiting to go eat, so we hit Cracker Barrel to top off the day. I even ate a fudge thingy for dessert after having breakfast for supper. Now what could possibly make this day any better?! :D
