Biking and Grouches

Today started off as a pretty weather day, so after school, Kaylee and I hopped on our bikes and went for a ride in the park. When I walk while she rides, she rides so fast I am practically jogging to keep up. I don't jog. So today I take my bike, and she rides so slowly I'm falling off my bike. But we made it to the waterfalls, sat and watched the ducks, looked for the littlest rock by the river, waved at every car we passed on the road, and raced up the "big" hills to see who got there first. Which all sounds fun, except she was one big grouch. :) I think she's coming down with something; she's not eating well, she coughs a lot at night, and well, she's a grouch! She spent some time in her room alone today telling her animals how mean I was. Ah, it seems so young to start that!

Before we went riding, she was writing on a paper and I asked her what she was doing. She said "I'm writing you a note Mommy, so you know not to hurt my neck with my helmet." (Last time, Daddy pinched her neck with the straps.) I told her I wouldn't, and she stuck this sticky paper to the back of her helmet with a bunch of squiggles and her name signed to it, which was her way of telling me "Please don't pinch my neck. Kaylee."

Yesterday we went out to Glenndale and she was helping the guys work on their airplane, put gas into a fuel tank, whatever they were doing, she was there "helping". They always let her hang out and help out, which I really appreciate. I think it's good for her, and it's probably good for those old guys too. ;)

I'm too tired to be clever, so that's about it for today!
